take some time. rsvp's are preferred, but drop-ins are allowed.
So come join us for a good time! We often have singles stickers
and singles tables.

Some of us go to the Canela dance the first Saturday of
almost every other month, more or less, in SF at the Flower
Market Cafe.

Our special events include monthly brunches, Holiday Dinner,
Halloween Party, and a Valentine Brunch. We also have a
picnic before the Dyke March and this year will be celebrating
our 4th anniversary!

Members post their invitation ideas to the list daily, providing us
with endless opportunities to meet one another and have a good
time. This membership involvement is the heart of adyke.
List membership is free.

Many of our members are single, but we also have many
couples in adyke. Though having friends and community
is one of the best ways to have dating opportunities,
the purpose of adyke is to build community and is not
based on relationship status.

Most of our members are in the immediate Bay Area, but
we have members as far away as Clear Lake, Mendocino,
Santa Cruz, Paso Robles and Modesto. At this time,
we only have events closer to the Bay, but we can
offer you support if you want to activate your area.
We understand how easy it is to become isolated as
we grow older and we have found adyke has given us
a workable alternative.

There is no such thing as too old on this list. Part
of our mission is to remove the stigmas, both internal
and external, associated with age. The primary focus
of adyke is to post personal invitations to other
adykes. It is not an announcement list.

adyke is a list created to address issues of aging
among lesbians and we hope to get our non-profit
status soon.

We now have 2 sister lists: adyke2 or adyke deux,
that is for all queer women over 40, and Babadyke for
queer women less than 40 years of age.
