Rectify A Sad Situation Earlier today I got a from someone in California who needed a few words of advice to solve a problem that I deal with on a a daily basis. He couldn't believe how simply I broke it down for him and how sensible my plan was. Shortly after that, I opened a letter from a personal client who took the time to write me a thank you note for everything I've done for her, and how much I was able to help. No doubt, I'm the go to guy at work, and working my way to be one of the go to guys in my whole profession.

So it was a good day at work. A tiring one, but not an exhausting one because I went to the gym on the way home. A weight day. Knocked out a few sets with a guy I never met before, but just happened to be there doing the same thing. He wasn't doing it so well so I gave him some unsolicited advice. Low and behold, he had a light bulb moment, it all clicked and he couldn't be more excited. This guy is on fire to figure out what else I can help with. I don't know if it was his appreciation, sincerity, or maybe he was hitting on me, but he kept insisting that I look at least ten years youngr than my actual age. Why not? I'm a tall guy. I could be mistaken for an athlete, and I still have all my hair.

I guess it was a pretty good day.

Then I got home. To the apt. I live in all by myself. To eat last night's leftovers from the crock pot. And watch a movie on HBO that I've seen half a dozen times.

I can't say that I want to be coming home to anyone every night. But it would be nice to have a steady-regular date night or two with someone who was busy, but not too busy. Someone with a sense of humor and a personality.
