Real estate broker or attorney have any advice on bad landlords Hi, I need some help. I dont have money to spend on an attorney but have a huge problem with my landlord. I just moved into the apartment and just found out all these things on top of the fact she wouldn't fix faucet in kitchen for 2 weeks!!!! She screamed at me for leaving a at her real estate office but I had no not to I was just trying to get my faucet fixed. So no response I review her on and she finally s screaming at me. She even offered to break my lease if I wasn't happy. I have never in my life dealt with a landlord like this. So this is where it gets interesting i paid a huge broker fee to the brokerage she owns and she owns the building this apt is in. After a contractor I knew came over found all these issues. So its best interest I move as there has been a flood smells like , the bars in front of my windows cant be and fire danger, and her failure to fix things make this a nightmare. Does anyone think I can for the deposit and broker fee back? Any advice how to handle before I move out.
