Seeking a Swimming/Weight Loss buddy @ YMCA downtown w4w I'm married and I've lived in Lynchburg for about 2 years. I am a student at Randolph College. I enjoy offbeat sorts of TV shows, such as stuff on Adult Swim and I do a lot of PC gaming. As a result of the gaming and school, I've become kinda overweight. I'm interested in starting swimming at the Y but all of my friends live at least 40 minutes from town and are unable to meet me a few times a week. Ideally, I would like to go at least 3 times a week but I'd be happy to go more. I'm pretty laid back and I like to make fun of life in general, so someone with a similar sense of humor is key. Age is really of no concern, older or younger is just fine. Since I am embarking on a mission to lose some weight and get into healthier habits, it would be really nice to find someone interested in doing the same - codependent motivation, that's healthy, right...?

Membership or ability to obtain a membership to the YMCA is probably important (unless you happen to have a pool already, in which case, I'm jealous). It's a pretty sweet deal, more worth the $$ than some other gyms, i think.
